I’m currently in the midst of a .com startup for the Japanese mobile market. Suffice it to say, this has not been an easy task--especially when I do not speak Japanese well, and cannot read Kanji.
The language barrier aside, there were/are many technical and cultural hurdles I’ve had to jump to keep things going. It has been a fantastic experience; one that has me learning more every day.
I created the Nipponderer blog for those that may follow. I hope the information, musings and stories from the school ‘o hard knocks may entertain, inform and—most importantly—save you weeks of banging your head against a wall developing content for a Japanese audience.
